Why We Exist
The beauty industry has long fallen short when it comes to products for Black hair and skin. Too often, we’re left with options that are harsh, poorly formulated, or simply not made with us in mind.
Many products are marketed as “clean” or “natural”, highlighting a handful of nourishing ingredients to suggest safety - but beneath the surface, they’re often packed with endocrine disruptors, carcinogens, synthetic fragrances and other harmful additives. It’s greenwashing, plain and simple.
We know this struggle because we’ve lived it - standing in the beauty aisle, reading ingredient lists we can’t pronounce, and wondering why no one seems to care. That’s why we created The BBR. Because we do care - and we believe you shouldn’t have to compromise your health to feel beautiful.
We deserve more - and The BBR is here to deliver it.
We’re building something better - a curated destination for high-quality, non-toxic products created with Black hair and skin in mind. The BBR is a private members’ platform offering exclusive access to premium, health-conscious beauty and personal care.
